Governance Forum

Board governance is critical to organizational effectiveness and success. The Governance Forum is a course that explores the role of the Board, the duties of its Directors, and the use of Committees to effectively govern a company. The Governance Forum has been customized to address the needs of Central Minnesota companies, both for-profit and non-profit.

Program Objectives
  • Develop board members and board advisors that can make stronger contributions to their organization
  • Prepare participants to meet the demands of today’s boards
  • Survey and analyze important governance concepts
  • Create and invite participation in a network of local colleagues facing similar governance challenges
  • Develop governance skills for the broader community’s benefit

Target Audience
The Governance Forum is designed for both for-profit and non-profit companies that have or plan to create a Board of Directors or Board of Advisors. The ideal participant is the Board Chair or future Board Chair, Committee leader, Advisor to and Partner with Boards.
