Governance Forum

Board governance is critical to organizational effectiveness and success. The Governance Forum is a course that explores the role of the Board, the duties of its Directors, and the use of Committees to effectively govern a company. The Governance Forum has been customized to address the needs of Central Minnesota companies, both for-profit and non-profit.

Program Objectives

Develop board members and board advisors that can make stronger contributions to their organization
Prepare participants to meet the demands of today’s boards
Survey and analyze important governance concepts
Create and invite participation in a network of local colleagues facing similar governance challenges
Develop governance skills for the broader community’s benefit

Target Audience
The Governance Forum is designed for both for-profit and non-profit companies that have or plan to create a Board of Directors or Board of Advisors. The ideal participant is the Board Chair or future Board Chair, Committee leader, Advisor to and Partner with Boards.
