Emerging Companies Forum
| Participants |
Do you continue to face opportunities and challenges as your
business grows? Whether it is diversification of your customer
base, profitable growth, competition, operational expansion, or
access to cash, in many cases you don't have anyone to act as a
sounding board. This forum is designed to help emerging companies
better position themselves for the future. The Emerging
Companies Forum is targeted towards Entrepreneurs, Business
Owners, General Managers, or Executive teams who are interested
in surrounding themselves with an Advisory Board of experienced
individuals.
|
| Program Objectives |
- Provide access to a group of experienced individuals who
are interested and willing to share their advice and
experiences in a formal setting.
- Provide candid feedback that challenges the business
owner's assumptions, with a goal of helping the owner
improve business planning and execution.
- Provide and informal mentoring relationship that extends
beyond the Forum to help the business owner facilitate
future growth.
|
|
Logistics |
- The selection process is competitive. Applicants will be
asked to fill out a brief application, which includes
questions about company history, future goals, historical
financial information, and interest in an Advisory Board.
- After acceptance into the Forum, an Advisory Board will
be created focusing on individuals with specific abilities,
experience, and knowledge that will complement the company.
- The Advisory Board will consist of four Advisors, who
are compensated by the Anderson Center. One of the four
Advisors will act as the lead Advisor and liaison to the
participating company.
- The Advisory Board will meet three times per year over a
two year period (total of 6 meetings). Advisory Board
meetings will last between 2 and 3 hours.
- The entrepreneur and business owner will have the
opportunity to reach out to the Advisors between meetings.
- The base fee for the four-person two year Advisory Board
is $10,000.
- Limited scholarships are available and will be evaluated
as part of the selection process.
